5 Must-Have Products for Your Diaper Bag

Posted by on

1. aden + anais Swaddle Blanket

These are hands down our favorite multi-use blankets. Their size makes swaddling easy. They are lightweight enough to be used during warmer times of the year. The gauze material is soft and luxurious feeling on baby's skin. They are breathable and can be used as a sun-shield by draping over your baby carrier or stroller. All in all we highly recommend carrying one of these blankets with you at all times.

2. Sophie the Giraffe

This is one of those toys that is completely multi-functional. At the very least it's an adorable looking animal, made from a soft material. It just so happens to also be smartly designed to stimulate baby and act as a teether. The long legs and pointy ears allow baby to chew different angles to help alleviate teething pain. Sophie is also non-toxic and made with food-grade paint.

3. Simple Squares

Having a snack for yourself on-hand is another must. If you're breastfeeding you'll want to make sure you don't go too long between meals. Your appetite may even require regular snacks. Packing a little snack, like Simple Squares, will allow you to easily grab a bite while on-the-go. These little bars are delicious and pack a lot of nutrition into a small package. We also love that they are GMO free, organic and gluten free.

4. Aquaphor

Aquaphor is another versatile item that you'll want to carry around at all times. It can be used as a diaper cream to treat diaper rash. It's gentle enough to be put on baby's skin (even the face). It also works as an ointment for chapped lips. Now, we know using the same product (and tube) as a diaper rash cream and lip ointment may seem crazy, but if you are careful to only touch the dispenser with clean hands you should be fine.

5. Babyganics Hand Sanitizing Wipes

A hand sanitizer of any kind is a must-have for your diaper bag. This version by Babyganics is fantastic. We love that they are free of harsh chemicals, alcohol-free, and folded in convenient little packages. They are also safe enough to use on your child's hands and smell great!
